During this time of Covid 19, I’ve prayed to God more fervently than I have in a long time. Despite the illness that has touched my family as well, I’ve sought the Lord’s face, and Jesus was there through it all.
He’s been with me in the night, when I haven’t known what to do! He has laid on my heart to reach out to others and join together in a bible study to open our eyes to His presence in ALL of life and scripture.
As I’ve been praying with friends this summer, sorrow has touched us all. Covid, injustice, and even sad health diagnoses can feel overwhelming. During these times, I invite you to look up into the face of Jesus, the one who surprises.
There is a new book by Dee Brestin that takes us on a journey through the Scriptures to find Jesus, so we will recognize Him in our daily lives.

To receive the most of this bible study, I recommend finding/buying a copy of the book. I realize it may take more than a week for you if you are ordering it online. You can find the hard copy on Amazon, at target, or the audio book to download with your library card on Hoopla. You can also purchase it on Kindle and Audible for reduced costs. One of the things Dee talks about is going on a God hunt. I love to do that each and every day, to take the time to see how God is providing for me no matter how I feel or how the circumstances may appear. I’d like to do this together with you on Thursday evenings at 7 pm through Zoom.
So go ahead and order your book and we’ll get started September 10th. One nice thing about this study is that if you miss a week, you will be able to view the videos on your own. Not as much fun as when we are online together, but I love how Dee’s videos are online for free public viewing.
This week I’m going to share with you how God has been moving in my life to look beyond my circumstances. I’d love your input and prayers – then Sept 10th we will launch Jesus Who Surprises. It will be such a sweet time of fellowship!
